NOM FIFA take home $10,000+ in FGS Playoffs

Just an appetizer before the eNations Cup later this month!

NOM FIFA have won a combined $12,250 in the FGS 2022 Playoffs. Playing for us in the tournament was Tesler, YuvalBeli, and Roee Feldman.

There were 128 players from around the world competing in this tournament in London. The top 32 players would qualify for the FIFAe World Cup later this month.

The format for this tournament was the players started off in the Group Stage, which was a Swiss Round format, and then the top 64 players from that would advance to the playoffs.

The playoffs were split into four groups of sixteen players and would be played in double elimination. Then, the top eight players of each group (32 in total) would advance to the FIFAe World Cup 2022.

All of our players qualified for the Playoffs through the Group Stage. Tesler went 3-2, YuvalBeli 4-1, and Roee Feldman 3-2.

In the Playoffs, Tesler got placed in Group A. His first matchup was against DullenMIKE. This was an easy one for Tesler, as he won 7-3. The next matchup, which was the quarterfinals, was tougher. Unfortunately, Tesler lost 0-3 to tuga810.

With the loss, Tesler moved down to the Losers Bracket. His only matchup there was an extremely close one, which was against Damesheet. The final score was 2-1 in Damesheet’s favor.

Ultimately, Tesler placed 35th, narrowly missing out on a chance in the FIFAe 2022 World Cup. However, he still took home $5,000 in prize money.

YuvalBeli got placed in Group C. His first matchup of the Playoffs was against Eyedin98 and it was a close one. The score was 4-4, but YuvalBeli won in penalty shots.

The next matchup, which was against Umut, was harder. Unfortunately, YuvalBeli lost 0-5 and dropped to the Losers Bracket. In the Losers Bracket, he had a matchup against KKoray. This was a really close one and ultimately, KKoray got the win 3-2.

This meant that YuvalBeli was now unfortunately out of the tournament. He placed 43rd and took home $5,000.

Roee Feldman also got placed in Group C. His first matchup was against Correa and was an extremely close one. The final score of the game was 3-3 and unfortunately Roee Feldman lost on penalty kicks. However, he still had another chance in the Losers Bracket.

In the Losers Bracket, Roee Feldman was up against Pinna97. This too, was also an extremely close matchup and again, Roee Feldman unfortunately lost on a penalty shootout. Ultimately, he placed 60th and took home $2,250.
